About Rarewake Trading Co.
Rarewake Trading Co. is an independently operated business based on Long Island, New York. It is not currently registered as a corporation or limited liability company, and operates as an unincorporated business under the Rarewake Trading Co. name.
Nature of the Website
Rarewake Trading Co. is an independent business that buys trading card collections and related collectibles. The Website is provided to share information about our services and to allow prospective sellers to submit information about a collection.
Geographic Scope & Mail-In Transactions
Rarewake currently focuses on local transactions in the Long Island, New York area, along with select mail-in transactions. For a mail-in transaction, you ship the collection or items to Rarewake, and the transaction is finalized after Rarewake receives, inspects, and — where applicable — authenticates the items. An initial discussion or estimate does not guarantee the final terms of a mail-in transaction; see "Condition & Final Offer" below.
Submissions Are Inquiries, Not Offers
Submitting a collection description, photos, or any other information through the Website is an inquiry only. It does not:
- Guarantee that Rarewake will make an offer
- Guarantee that Rarewake will purchase your collection
- Establish any particular valuation for your collection
- Create a binding agreement of any kind
Any actual purchase would be governed by a separate agreement reached directly between you and Rarewake at the time of transaction. Submitting a collection does not obligate either party to complete a transaction.
Condition & Final Offer
Initial discussions or offers based on photographs and descriptions are a starting point, not a final transaction. For in-person or mail-in transactions, the final offer may be revised if the physical condition, authenticity, identity, completeness, or other material characteristics of the items differ from what was represented or reasonably visible in the submitted photographs or information. You are always free to decline a revised offer.
Seller Representations
By offering items to Rarewake, you represent that you own those items or otherwise have lawful authority to sell them.
Accuracy of Information
You agree to provide accurate information about yourself and your collection to the best of your knowledge. We rely on the information and photos you provide as part of our evaluation.
Payment
Payment method is agreed upon as part of the transaction. Depending on the transaction, Rarewake may use methods such as cash, Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, Apple Pay, or cryptocurrency, though not every method is necessarily available for every transaction.
No Professional Appraisal
Rarewake's review of a submitted collection reflects our own collector knowledge and business judgment. It is not a formal, credentialed appraisal, and should not be relied upon as one.
Intellectual Property
The Website's design, text, and Rarewake's logos and branding are the property of Rarewake Trading Co. and may not be reproduced without permission. Trading card names, artwork, and trademarks referenced on this Website belong to their respective owners; Rarewake is an independent buyer and is not affiliated with or endorsed by those companies.
No Warranties
The Website is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rarewake Trading Co. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Website.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Changes To These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
